2> Quote the client and send them an invoice and request 50% or 100% payment upfront.
( also inform your client that you will design / sketch / create so many versions for them)
I normally tell my clients this:
‘I am going to start off with a couple of sketch ideas and we take it from there…’
So I recommend doing some simple sketch ideas and get your clients input.
Depending on your client, you might nail the idea 1st time, or you may need to evolve or develop your first idea..
I have done some logo’s and nailed the idea off my first sketch & some logo’s i have designed, I have done several sketches that evolved and we eventually came up with a totally awesome idea..
The Link below contains a brain storm word document, i sometimes create if the logo requires intensive research and inspirational ideas to get some ideas to create my own version of the logo.
I Find many pictures that inspire me based on this logo design theme… and use those images to inspire ideas. Like using wood in the logo and flames and a sign board type feel.

I did gather research and got inspired by some cool pictures / logos / illustrations found on the web and came up with my own unique, iconic ‘gamers logo’
